A most disappointing turn-out for this 3rd match in the series of 4. The absentees however missed out on one of the best match weights to come off the Mill for a long time.

The runaway winner was Rachel Thayre with the outstanding weight of 71 - 4 - 0 comprising a 12 lb common carp  with ~ 20 bream going up to  4 lb and averaging ~ 3lb each

With gale force winds AND torrential rain it was going to be hard going for the 14 anglers that took part in the Crawley v Copthorne re match.   Crawley took the honours which was no surprise as only 2 anglers turned up to represent Copthorne.

2nd   Nick Ardley (Crawley)          36 - 6 - 0     bream & roach - fishing the feeder & worm/maggot.

With one angler putting his clock FORWARD and arriving at the venue at 6.00 am instead of 8.00 am AND phoning the sec. to find out where everyone was !  The remainder of the field arrived on time. Despite providing the individual winner - Adrian Westgate [cdas] 50 - 12 - 0 0 ( 8lb of skimmers/roach + 42 lb of carp) the remaining frame places were all filled by Faulkners men who won the match 240 -15 - 0  to CDAS 137 - 0 - 0

CDAS made their inaugral visit to Carshalton waters and the result shows that Carshalton made the most of home knowledge and expertise by winning 165 - 1 - 0 to CDAS 145 - 5 - 0 . But as one home team member commented "we won the match but CDAS won most of the cash - taking 4 out of the 5 sections" !!!
