The first of the Senior citizens matches got off to a marvelous start on Weds. at Rowfant Mill. In a closely run match the tench and bream and skimmers predominated and there was also a great two carp capture.

On a bitterly cold day CDAS visited Beaver Farm to take on Faulkners AC. The result was a landslide with CDAS taking the top 5 places and winning the overall team ( Team weights were not added up - but we won by rather a lot ! )

The pike were conspicuous by their absence 18 deadbaits were steadfastly ignored by the pike population of the Mill except a straggler which mistook two red maggots of Dave Whitehouse for something else and was landed  ~ 8lb (shame DGW was not in the pike match! ).

- the matchmen also had a dour day except for:  

 

1st Paul Brinkhurst   16 - 9 - 0     a beautiful 12 - 4 - 0 common carp + 2 bream  and some skimmers

A blustery day with short but sharp showers - plenty of bits to be caught but "net fish" needed to make the frame. (A Winnie the Pooh reference , Dave?)

A very rainy and windy day at the Mill for the settling of a number of trophies. Firstly the match itself - a fairly closely run affair
